      Alexis O'Neill's SCBWI retreat in Oxnard California was a wonderful experience for me.  There is something about a group of writers, everyone in the room serious about learning craft...!!  We covered a lot of ground, enjoyed the ocean, each other's company, and explored that deeply joyous and painful endeavor that novelists come to know and love--revision. We also ate a lot, and had a wonderful time at Tina's lovely, art-filled home.

There were some accomplished writers there and I am sure there will be book sales in the next year or so. (It would be faster than that, but publishing would lose a slow-race to a glacier...)
